The Proofreading Process

I proofread transcripts electronically, in Portable Document Format (PDF), returning pages annotated with suggested corrections in the same format. I use red text for suggested corrections, blue text for notes and rule references, and yellow highlighting to bring your attention to parts of the transcript that either don’t make sense or that are otherwise noteworthy without an immediate correction coming to mind.

Below is a sample of my work, with names redacted. The first time I proofread a transcript for you, I will put tick marks under each line number where I have made an annotation, so that you can find them easier. I can either continue this practice for subsequent transcripts, or stop once we have established that the annotations show up properly for you.

Corrections can also be sent by errata sheet; by paper printout; or within the Case CATalyst, Eclipse, or DigitalCAT programs. These methods will incur an additional charge.
